My Unforgettable Trip to Bali
“ Bali is the name
of one of the provinces in Indonesia and is also the name of the largest island
that is part of the province. Apart from consisting of the island of Bali, the
province of Bali also consists of smaller surrounding islands, namely Nusa
Penida Island, Nusa Lembongan Island, Nusa Ceningan Island and Serangan Island.
Bali is located between Java Island and Lombok Island.
The provincial capital is Denpasar which is located in the southern part of the
island. The majority of the Balinese are followers of Hinduism. In the world,
Bali is well-known as a tourism destination with its unique arts and culture,
especially for Japanese and Australian tourists. Bali is also known as the
Island of the Gods and the Island of a Thousand Temples.
Bali or often referred to as the land of the gods (Land Of God) has a variety
of cultures including beach, mountain, rice fields and even villages and
residents with their unique culture, historical places and of course its
amazing natural beauty.”
That's the usual
explanation that the Bali tour guides explain to us tourists.
Assalamualaikum
guys! This time I'm here to share my second experience in Bali, yep, the first
time I went to Bali was when I was in grade 2 high school with my grandmother's
recitation group. The second time I went to Bali, namely November 6
2022-November 10 2022 together with my beloved campus group with the aim of a
comparative study. I think this second experience is very, very impressive!
Simply and solely? Yep because with this comparative study? I can officially
meet my handsome virtual boyfriend there, hehe, it's been almost 2 years of our
virtual relationship, we haven't actually met each other at all, and in the
end, it's been nearly 2 years since we were able to meet too. Let me tell you
from the beginning of the trip until arriving in Bali! Happy reading^^
1. Departure
November 6, 2022
Exactly at 8 am WIB, in the courtyard of the IPB Invada Cirebon campus,
students gathered to follow the bus departure schedule. I was very enthusiastic
about bringing all the equipment while in Bali, feeling happy, touched to be
able to meet the figure that I have been waiting for for a long time, finally
achieved just by counting the hours. During the trip, I was a drunk on land
travel, especially buses, but strangely this feeling of happiness covered all
my nausea just disappeared, plus my friends of my age who were busy talking,
laughing, while those who were doing karaoke really really added to this
feeling of happiness not countless.
2. Banyuwangi Ketapang port
November 7, 2022
Exactly at 03.00 WIB, departure for the port of Ketapang Banyuwangi because my
class is bus 10, which is the final bus, like it or not we have to queue for
buses because the ship cannot load more than 4 buses. Finally, the departure
can start at 03.30 WIB. As long as I was on board, my curiosity did not go
away, I kept looking at the view of the sea around me, accompanied by a very
strong gust of wind. At 04.00 I immediately performed the morning prayer
service at the ship's prayer room in congregation with my peers. It didn't stop
there, after the prayer, my friends and I were very amazed by the sunrise in
the morning, when the sun was about to rise we didn't try to take pictures to
capture the view that we couldn't feel every day, because this time the sunrise
we saw was from the middle of the sea. The dark blue sky which slowly emits
sunlight which is changing from dark blue to bright blue makes the gradation of
the beautiful sky a creation of God that is second to none.
3. Ulun Danu Temple, Lake Beratan, Bedugul
November 7, 2022 At
12.10 WITA we finally arrived at Ulun Danu Temple, Lake Beratan, Bedugul, Bali.
Friends of culture, of course, are no strangers to the picture of the temple
contained in the Rp. 50,000.00 denomination. Yes, he is Ulun Danu Beratan
Temple. One of the biggest temples in Bali. The name of this temple refers to
its location which stands on the shores of Lake Beratan. Administratively, Ulun
Danu Beratan Temple is located in Candikuning Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan
Regency. About 50 KM north of Denpasar city, on the Bedugul-Singaraja main
road.
there for the first time I saw a stretch of green plants, various colored flowers, temple worship with its various uniqueness, and crowds of tourists from various countries visiting. That's where I met my handsome boyfriend. I was really looking forward to these moments, the first time I saw him in real terms, how he looks, his real voice, his height, to his body odor. I separated from my class group and just enjoyed my tour with my boyfriend who was handsome, kind, sincere, funny, coincidentally he graduated from a tourism vocational school and was a former tour guide. So, I won't be afraid of getting lost or just wondering, I can ask him about Bali. He continues to follow wherever I go on tours, he always precedes the campus bus group. He said he didn't want to miss the golden moment and just passed it by. How can I not love him if the effort is like this? Willing to drive hot and rainy around from end to end of the island of Bali, just to accompany my tour. I Love Him So Much><
4. Cening Bagus Souvenir Center
November 7, 2022 At
16.59 WITA the campus group arrived at the Cening Bagus Souvenir Center. This
Cening Bagus shop is a shopping center for Balinese souvenirs, a complete and
cheaper collection of goods, a modern market that provides various collections
of traditional Balinese handicrafts, and is an alternative shopping destination
that provides comfort and convenience, as is the case with souvenir shops. In
addition, the center for souvenirs typical of Bali Cening Bagus in Batubulan
Gianyar offers various types of local handicrafts, woven handicraft materials,
trinkets, cups, sculptures, carvings, paintings, woven fabrics, clothes,
blankets, snacks and various other types that are characterized by about Bali.
I was only there to buy some typical Balinese hangers, and accompanied my friend to pick and choose souvenirs. I just looked around and occasionally took random pictures, and didn't forget to take photos with my friends. We didn't take long to leave and continue our journey to our next destination to Jimbaran Beach.
5. Jimbaran Beach
November 7, 2022 At 19.30 WITA on the way to Jimbaran beach we entered the Benoa toll gate, the view of the toll road above the sea at night is very eye-catching. Even though it's dark, we can still enjoy the beautiful scenery while on the toll road and it's not boring.
At 20.00 WITA we finally set foot on Jimbaran beach for dinner
together. That night we were presented with a beautiful view of Jimbaran beach,
not forgetting the sound of the sea waves at night which was very soothing to
the ears, we were warmly welcomed by the employees/staff there in a friendly
manner, when the food arrived we were also greeted by Balinese dances after
that there was a concert of beautiful female singers there who sang the latest
songs to accompany the special dinner of the IPB Invada Cirebon group. Because
it was late at night. After eating, my friends and I didn't forget to take a
group photo and we immediately rushed again for the trip to check-in at the
Vasini hotel to rest to gather energy for tomorrow's long activities.
6. Joger Words Factory shopping for Balinese souvenirs
November 8, 2022 At
09.11 WITA, after breakfast at the hotel, we continued our journey to Joger,
the Word Factory, shopping for typical Balinese souvenirs. from the previous
night trip that time and this time the morning trip, the view of the toll road
this time was 10000000x more beautiful than last night. The birds are clearly
visible, the sun shining on the long Benoa toll road, the blue sky that seems
to welcome our journey, really spoils anyone who sees it.
Who doesn't know
Joger's Word Factory? yep, a typical Balinese souvenir shop that provides
t-shirts, sandals, bags, and other items. Interestingly, in every item sold
there are words that are inspiring, funny, interesting, and even eccentric. Not
only is the design unique, the materials used are also of very good quality.
Almost all tourists make Joger Bali their destination for hunting souvenirs
while traveling in Bali. Both domestic and foreign tourists are not left behind
to buy souvenirs here. Apart from not being sold outside the Joger shop itself,
the uniqueness of Joger really doesn't need to be doubted.
Joger products are
famous for producing words through t-shirts, jackets, sandals, and others.
Apart from various wearable products, Joger also produces clocks, DVDs, cups,
key chains, and various other knick-knacks. The unique thing is that the clock
on the Joger is made backwards for those who are advancing. Not only focusing
on interesting writing, Joger also pays attention to the quality of the
ingredients of each existing product. For clothing sizes, Joger has a wide
variety of sizes. You can even find t-shirts for your little ones. The sizes
provided at Joger range from XXS to XXL. Choosing a t-shirt or clothing that
fits in size with unique words will be great if combined with a variety of
color choices. Joger has many color choices for each product.
7. Tanjung Benoa Beach
November 8, 2022 At
12.30 WITA when we arrived at Tanjung Benoa beach. One of the beach tourism
objects in Bali that gets a lot of visits from Indonesian tourists is Tanjung
Benoa Bali beach which is located in the Tanjung Benoa Nusa Dua Bali tourism
area. Then what are the game activities in Tanjung Benoa Bali? Tanjung Benoa
water sports rides available such as Parasailing, Snorkeling, Tanjung Benoa
Seawalker and many other choices of marine tourism games. One of the family
holiday activities in Tanjung Benoa that Indonesian tourists like the most
while on vacation is a tour to the turtle island of Bali.
I was invited by my
boyfriend who is handsome, loyal, kind, not stingy to go together to turtle
island, I agreed out of curiosity and was also quite treated by him hahahaha.
by reaching a budget of 80 thousand per person we have had the impressive
experience of being able to visit turtle island by boat. Me, my handsome
boyfriend, and some of my friends also went on a trip to Turtle Island. When
arriving near Turtle Island Tanjung Benoa Bali, if the sea water recedes, the
boat cannot approach the shoreline because the waters are very shallow.
Therefore, we have to walk through the ankle-deep sea water to get to Turtle
Island. But if the water is high, the boat can still lean on the shoreline.
Upon arrival at
Turtle Island, my handsome, kind, funny boyfriend bought a women's beach hat
for about 150 thousand, but only if he spoke Balinese? He gets a discount from
the hatter mom (insider power) oppss .
we can see how rare turtles are conserved. Apart from turtles, there are also
other protected wild animals such as pythons, bats, Javanese eagles, crocodiles
and several other types of animals. We can interact and take pictures with
turtles and several other animals. This activity is certainly very interesting
for children, as well as introducing them to the various marine riches of Indonesia
that are so enchanting. Apart from adult turtles, in this place there are also
small turtles or commonly called hatchlings. Visitors can not only take
pictures and hold turtles, but are also allowed to feed turtles with food that
has been provided by the manager.
Finally, we rushed
to our respective buses at 13.30 WITA to continue our journey to Melasti Beach.
On my way to the boat I forgot to tie my hat strap, at the end when there's a
strong wind on the shore? My hat flew and splashed into the water. I screamed
excitedly because my handsome boyfriend was already right in front of me. On my
left, there were several groups of foreigners/foreign tourists who seemed to be
speaking from Spain, they also shouted with the tone of my intonation when they
shouted earlier hahahahha, there were about 5 foreign men who quickly picked up
my hat which had fallen and was wet that. And one of them handed me my hat with
a friendly face. I didn't forget to say "thank you", and they replied
"you're welcome" with a smile.
8. Melasti Beach
November 8, 2022 At
15.50 WITA we arrived at Melasti beach. Melasti Beach is a very exotic beach
because its location is very hidden and behind a cliff and has a historical
story that is almost the same as Pandawa beach. The location of Melasti beach
is behind a towering limestone hill so that to reach it, visitors have to pass
through a limestone cliff wall that is so enchanting that it reaches the
shoreline of an exotic white sandy beach which is equipped with small pools
like natural pools. Due to its isolated location, Melasti beach is still not
widely known by tourists. But the difference is that after opening the access
road to the beach location so that now vehicles such as cars can pass through
it by splitting the cliff over the cliff which makes Melasti Beach an
extraordinary attraction, not inferior to Pandawa Beach.
Unexpectedly, when
I just finished taking a photo with the campus group. It turned out that the
sky didn't approve of us enjoying the view on Melasti beach, yep, the big rain
immediately fell, causing the students to split up and immediately get on their
respective buses because most of the students brought umbrellas but left them
on the bus. However, me, my handsome boyfriend, and my friend, the three of us
took shelter under a tree because we didn't have time to go to the bus.
Finally, my handsome boyfriend gave me a plastic raincoat that he had brought
for me and himself. Unfortunately, he only brought 2 plastic raincoats, he
decided to find a plastic raincoat for my friend. I also wanted to go with him,
because I thought "after this when
will I be able to enjoy rainy moments with him?" along the road
outside Melasti Beach, he and I searched from one shop to another, but no one
was selling plastic raincoats. After we searched for a long time and couldn't
find a plastic raincoat for my friend, we decided to return to Melasti Beach
again.
Arriving at Melasti
Beach, my friend decided to just go back to the bus using the jacket he was
wearing. At that time, I thought the group would wait until the rain stopped,
actually? We were forced to continue with the tour plan to another place,
because the rain was still pouring down. Our buses left Melasti Beach one by
one to continue our journey to GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana).
9. GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana)
November 8, 2022 At
17.33 WITA when we all arrived at GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) . Garuda, the word
Garuda comes from Sanskrit which means a bird and its body is like a human. But
the head and legs resemble birds and on the back there are wings. Of course the
Garuda bird is a mythological bird. Then, Vishnu is one of the gods in Hinduism
who has a role in maintaining and guarding all of God's creations. While
Kencana means Gold. Because in the tourist area of GWK Bali there is a statue
of Lord Vishnu, who is wearing a golden crown, and is riding a Garuda bird with
a very large statue size. So this tourist spot in Bali is named Garuda Wisnu
Kencana (GWK).
Furthermore, the
Garuda Wisnu Kencana cultural park, one of the famous tourist attractions in
Bali. Due to the popularity of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Bali tourist
attraction, almost every day the GWK Bali tourist spot is always crowded with
visits by domestic and foreign tourists. If you are on vacation in Bali, be
sure to take the time to visit the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park
area. The location is on Ungasan Hill, South Kuta, Badung, Bali. Besides being
able to enjoy the magnificent Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, here you can also
watch various performances every day. Including one of them is the Garuda Wisnu
Kencana Kecak Dance at 18.00 WITA.
It was in this
place, my friend and I conducted interviews with tourists/foreign tourists to
fulfill our course assignment, namely digital content writing. Helped by the
skills of a boyfriend who is handsome, kind, and smart? Yep, he helped us when
we talked with a pair of Caucasians who were said to be on their honey moon on
the island of the gods, which was the target of our interview at that time.
After the interview, my handsome boyfriend and I immediately took a photo
together in front of the GWK building. After that, it didn't feel like the clock
had hit 18.50 WITA. Because it was reported that Bali would have a G20 event,
finally my entourage and I stepped on the gas as soon as possible for our next
trip, and sure enough the roads were very congested and jammed that time, my
handsome boyfriend told me that he had just passed our beloved president's car.
10 Krisna Souvenirs
November 8, 2022 At
21.20 WITA we finally arrived at Krisna Souvenirs. Whatever you're looking for
is here. Ranging from food, drink, body care, to painting was there. Prices for
souvenirs here are affordable. You can find quality ones here. Sure enough,
when we visited there, places that sold Balinese fabrics and clothes were
always sought after. From children to adults, a traveler can freely choose the
size and color according to taste. Not only casual ones, Krisna also sells
official batik clothes. The models vary with quality that competes with goods
on the market. After shopping, we had dinner upstairs from kisna souvenirs
before returning to the hotel.
11 Visit to Udayana Bali Campus
November 9, 2022 At
08.00 WITA, I finished breakfast at the Vasini hotel with my handsome boyfriend
(camouflage by wearing my campus alma
mater suit). Not forgetting to check out the hotel, I took a photo in
front of the hotel with my handsome boyfriend. My bus started to travel to
Udayana campus, although I was very sad because this time my handsome boyfriend
couldn't come, because he had to accompany his mother. okay...
Arriving at the
Udayana campus, the IPB group was directed to the hall and welcomed by
students, lecturers, and Udayana campus officials. Various events such as
concerts, dance performances, inter-campus discussions, other remarks, and
finally a group photo between my beloved IPB campus and Udayana students. After
finishing all the event sessions on the Udayana campus, we finally continued
our next trip to Tanah Lot.
12 Tanah Lot
November 9, 2022 At
15.10 WITA when we arrived at Tanah Lot, which was our final destination in
Bali. Tanah Lot is one of the important temples for Balinese Hindus and the
location of the temple is located on a large rock off the coast. In addition,
Tanah Lot Temple is a tourism icon on the island of Bali and has become one of
the famous tourist attractions on the island of Bali that must be visited. Because
this tourist spot in Bali is so famous, almost every day this tourist
attraction is always busy with tourist visits. Furthermore, Tanah Lot Temple
was built on a large new rock which was on the beach. During high tide, the
Tanah Lot temple will be seen surrounded by sea water. Meanwhile, when the sea
water recedes, you will be able to walk close to the temple location. In
addition, visitors or tourists are not allowed to enter the area inside the
temple (the location of Hindus praying at Tanah Lot temple). This tourist spot
on the island of Bali is very crowded with tourists, especially in the
afternoon, before sunset.
Apart from just walking around, taking pictures is also a must when stopping by Tanah Lot. My handsome boyfriend and I didn't waste this moment, because it so happened that he brought his mother too, we immediately took a photo together with the help of my friend as a photographer. Besides being a mosquito, he also helps me and my handsome boyfriend a little ahhahaha. It didn't realize that already at 17.00 WITA the group had been given an announcement to return to their respective buses. The feeling of grief that is grieving becomes one, sad, not willing to be separated again, longing, mixed into one. With a heavy heart I parted ways with my handsome boyfriend. He repeatedly gave me reassuring words that if there is an opportunity and funds, he will immediately go to Java, that is the place to go to Cirebon where I live, I hope this will be accomplished quickly, aamiin
That's all for
the series of trips from the beginning to the end of my campus comparative
study event, my beloved IPB INVADA CIREBON with all my official meetings with
my handsome boyfriend hehehe, Three days in Bali was enough to impress me
visiting here even though it's actually still lacking hahahaha. I am very
grateful to the campus for holding this valuable comparative study event! Words
are not enough to say thank you very much for giving me a second chance to
Bali. The beautiful scenery and friendly Balinese people are a mix that is
impossible to forget. See you next time in Bali!
