Wet vs. Dry Cat Food: What’s Better For Your Cats?

Is wet or dry food healthier for cats, a common question from cat owners? There is no clear cut solution. Both cat food varieties have benefits and drawbacks.

Dry cat food often has less protein and more carbs than wet cat food (especially animal protein). Cats do not have a minimal nutritional requirement for carbohydrates, despite the fact that they can digest and absorb healthy elements from carbohydrates.

It largely relies on the type of food companion your cat prefers. However, we advise feeding a combination of wet and dry cat food. The reason is that while dry cat food will be better for dental health, wet cat food will provide a lot of moisture in the food. Additionally, because cats are curious animals, providing variation to your cat's diet will make it more delectable.

Based on my personal experience with cat ownership, I first exclusively fed my cat wet food. But after doing a lot of study, I fed my cat both kinds of food. Morning dry food, afternoon wet food, afternoon cat snack, and evening dry food.
